Have you bought a 2011 Porsche Cayenne S hybrid? Are you looking at a used Porsche car for sale? If so you might want to take a look at some of the pros and cons of this hybrid SUV. The only thing i could see being the most serious of problems is there drivetrain. There seems to be a software glitch that the famous German automaker has yet to fix. The Cayenne S Hybrid is an expensive SUV so i thought I’d right about it if your someone who’s thinking of buying a used one.
I don’t even like old cars. I’d rather have a goddam horse. A horse is at least human, for God’s sake.
J. D. Salinger
Scott Evans a writer for MotorTrend.com writes about how his 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid got the updated software that was to fix what he says is a clunky drivetrain in heavy traffic.
And they’re not much to talk about, I’m afraid. The service, billed as “Re-programming Tiptronic, front-end electronics and high-voltage power electronics control units” and a companion update to the instrument cluster programming further refined power delivery in normal driving (something I never had a problem with) and even made the Cayenne feel a little quicker. As for low speeds and traffic jams, though, the update didn’t seem to do much. I’ve noticed the bucking less often, but it hasn’t diminished in severity as I’d hoped.
Even thou there are some issues with the drivetrain overall Scott goes on to suggest that this Porsche hybrid SUV has more good things going for it that bad ones. He talks about how good the Porsche transmission logic is, but then he’ll complain about how such an expensive car doesn’t have keyless entry. He also doesn’t like the left hand ignition but now has no issues with the paddles.
These are, of course, small gripes. Yes, they’re annoying, but none affect the driveability of the vehicle nor are they deal-breakers. Some can even be fixed with the proper application of dollars. The fact that these are the only things I have to complain about should tell you something about how good this car is overall.
A Porsche car for sale will not be cheap and especially if its a expensive one like the Cayenne S. I agree with Scott Evans (who knows better than most people since he owns one) that the 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid isn’t a bad SUV at all.

Have you ever thought what it would be like to drive a 2006 BMW M5. This particular vehicle back in 2006 won the European engine of the year award because of it’s distinct Formula One advantages. If your someone who loves speed and luxury this used car is for you.
“Straight roads are for fast cars, turns are for fast drivers.” -Colin McRae
The editors review from CNET goes further into how awesome this vehicle is.
The 2006 BMW M5 is a tech-savvy speed freak’s dream come true. Its Formula One-bred engine, which has collected two consecutive International Engine of the Year awards, is the most delectable bit, with the seven-speed sequential manual gearbox (SMG) and various chassis control systems complementing the power to provide truly awesome performance.
The transmission does take some getting used to and still occasionally confounded us even after considerable seat time in both the M5 and the M6, but with experience and an understanding of the manual vs. automatic settings, a smooth drive is possible. Clearly, though, the SMG is most effective and transparent when pushed very hard, and given the M5′s performance potential, this is impossible on public roads.
The editor from CNET goes further into how powerful the M5 engine really is. When controlling the out put of the horsepower all you have to do is push the “M button” for either 400hp or the sport mode which is 500 horsepower.
There is simply power and torque available everywhere up and down the rev range, enough to overwhelm the tires in the first three gears if you’re daring enough to disable the dynamic stability control. And of course, you are, because this is the only way to get the transmission into Sport mode 6 for the quickest shifts. With this mode selected, the electronic damping set to Sport, and the engine in P500 Sport mode where it produces 500 horsepower and extra-quick throttle response, the M5 assumes its purest form and the results are breathtaking.
Full throttle shifts are lightning-quick with no chassis disruption, and SMG earns its keep. Downshifts are accompanied by an attention-getting throttle blip, which either amuses or impresses most people when rolling to a city stop but definitely helps maintain stability and avoid any unsettling wheel spin in fast midcorner changes. With seven forward gears to choose from (an industry first for a clutch-shifted production-car transmission), so many shift programs available, and unflappable grip at any reasonable speed, getting to know the M5 is a pleasure indeed.
All in all i agree with the editor that the 2006 BMW M5 is a speed freaks dream. The M5 is a car you don’t want to get out of because of the power and all the gadgets to play with.

In 2006 the Lexus Motor Corporation introduced (Toyota’s Luxury Brand) the GS model to its line up. The engineers at Lexus who designed this model gave it the” L-Finesse” design and made mention that all other models would resemble some sort of design that the GS has. Lexus used cars like the GS (from 2009) are the luxury brands third generation model. This particular model is a mid-range sedan and is between the Lexus IS and the Lexus ES models. The GS competes against other popular luxury models like the BMW 535i xDrive, Audi A6 and the Mercedes-Benz 350 just to let you know. My research will be on the Lexus GS as used vehicle to look at.
I looked at all the different 2009 Lexus GS models. There are three models to choose from. The GS 350, GS 460 and the GS 450 hybrid (the GS 450h uses a gasoline engine paired with an electric motor) are the models to choose from. Some of the standard features that come with the different GS models are leather upholstery seats, keyless entry and engine start. Most control functions are on the dashboard touch screen which also displays the rear view camera. Other options include steering-linked headlamps and a Lexus Pre-Collision System. Some safety features included with all GS models are traction control, ABS brakes, antiskid system, front side airbags, curtain side airbags, rear side airbags and knee airbags.
I could only find fuel statistics from 2007. The base model had a fuel rating of 11-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 7.5-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The GS 460 had a fuel rating of 12.4-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.1-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The GS 450h had a fuel rating of 8.7-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 7.8-litres, per 100km for highway driving.
There are several different engine sizes for the various models from 2009. The GS 350 had a 3.5-litre engine and produced 303 horsepower. The GS 450h (hybrid) had a V6 gasoline engine paired with an electric motor and produced 339 horsepower. The GS 460 uses a V8, 4.6-litre engine and this produces 342 horsepower.
Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the Lexus GS as a used vehicle:
1- It was given an average rating (as a used vehicle to own) by a leading online consumer watch dog.
2- The same online consumer watch dog reports that there are many complaints with noisy brakes.
3- There are problems with the rubber oil line leaking on the 3.5-litre engine.
I hope this helps if your thinking of buying Lexus used cars like the Lexus GS.

Reviewing The Mazda Tribute As A Used Vehicle To Own
Used cars like the Mazda Tribute were first produced and launched back in 2001. It was the Companies first entry into the SUV market in Canada. The Tribute is based and designed on the popular Ford Explorer but uses a slightly different flare, to give it a look of its own. The Mazda tribute can also boast that its 2011 model has the top rating for fuel efficiency in the FWD, four-cylinder, manual transmission. My research will be on the Mazda tribute as a used vehicle to look at.
Over all I will be looking at Mazda Tribute stats from 2002 to 2011. I did however look at a 2008 used Tribute. The Tribute is a five-passenger, four-door wagon, which comes with a lift gate and with an opening glass. It comes in the “I” and “S” models for Sport, Touring and Grand Touring. All Models come in either a front-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive platform. Standard safety features that come with all models are front-side airbags, curtain-side airbags ABS brakes, traction control and an antiskid system. The Hybrid model does not include traction control or an antiskid system; they are not made available to that model.
There are different fuel statistics from 2002 to 2011. In 2002 the Tribute had a fuel rating of 10.2-litres per 100km, for city driving and 7.9-litres, per 100km, for highway driving (FWD, four-cylinder). The all-wheel version had a fuel rating of 10.8-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.7-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The six-cylinder FWD, had a fuel rating of 12.6-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.8-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The six-cylinder AWD, had a fuel rating of 13-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 9.3-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. In 2005 the six-cylinder, FWD Tribute had a fuel rating of 12-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.8-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. In 2005 the six-cylinder, AWD Tribute had a fuel rating of 13.3-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 9.9-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. In 2011 the four-cylinder, FWD Tribute had a fuel rating of 9.1-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 7.1-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. In 2011 the six-cylinder, AWD Tribute had a fuel rating of 11.5-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.7-litres, per 100km, for highway driving.
There are different engine sizes from 2002-2011 that the Mazda Tribute has to offer. In 2002 the Mazda Tribute offered a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre engine that produced 135 horsepower and a V6, 3.0-litre engine that produces 200 horsepower. In 2005 the Tribute upgraded the four-cylinder engine with a 2.3-litre motor and produced 153 horsepower. In 2008 it upgraded the four-cylinder with a 2.5-litre engine and this produced 171 horsepower. The V6, 3.0-litre engine was the same but increased the horsepower to 240hp.
Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the Mazda Tribute as a used vehicle:
1- There are problems with the transmission fluid leaking which can lead to transmission failure.
2- There are problems with bad alternators breaking down.
3- There are problems with engine oil leaks.
I hope this helps if you’re looking at Mazda used cars like the Tribute.
If you’re Canadian and looking to find great savings in Mazda used cars please check out “youpaidwhat.ca” they provide Canadians with an alternative option in buying American used cars. With the Canadian dollar being so high, it only makes sense to buy Mazda Tribute used cars for sale in the U.S…

Buick Allure Used Cars
Back in 2005, General Motors Buick division decided to replace the Regal and Century with the new Buick Allure. In the United States the Buick allure was known as the Lacrosse. Buick used cars like the Allure (from 2005 to 2009) have been given either an average rating or a great rating as a used vehicle to own, by a leading consumer protection organization. Being in the very competitive family oriented market place, the Buick Allure competes against such great vehicles like the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and the Chevrolet Malibu just to name a few. My research will be on the Buick Allure as a used vehicle to own.
Used cars like the Buick Allure have a slightly larger version of the Century and Regal models. This Sedan offers either a five passenger seated sedan (with two front bucket seats) or with six passenger seating with a flip and fold front seat. There are three different Buick Allure models to choose from. The CX, CXL and their top model CXS. Some of the safety features that come with a Buick Allure CXS model are four-wheel disk brakes, antiskid control, ABS and traction control. These safety features are optional on lower end models except for the antiskid control. Leather Upholstery seats come standard with either a CXL or CSX model. Other standard features that come with a CXL or CXS model are tilt steering, dual zone climate control and a split folding rear seat (these are all options with the CX model).
Buick Allure used cars have fuel statistics that vary with different engine sizes that the Buick Allure has to offer. The 3.6-litre engine had a fuel rating of 12.4-litres, per 100km for city driving and 8-litres, per 100km for highway driving. The 3.8-litre engine had a fuel rating of 11.9-litres, per 100km for city driving and 7.3-litres, per 100km for highway driving. The V8 engine (2008) had a fuel rating of 12.9-litres, per 100km for city driving and 8.1-litres, per 100km for highway driving.
Engine sizes vary from 2005 to 2008. In 2005 the CX and CXL models had a V6, 3.8-litre engine and this produced 200 horsepower. The CXS model had a V6, 3.6 litre engine and this produced 240 horsepower. In 2008 they dropped the 3.6-litre motor and added the V8, 5.3-litre engine and this produced 300 horsepower.
Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the Buick Allure as a used vehicle:
1- A leading online consumer watch dog gave 2005 and 2006 models and average rating, while 2007 models and newer, were given an above average rating for a used car to own.
2- There are no major mechanical problems that have been reported about.
3- It was given a five star rating for a crash test done to it for driver and passenger protection.
I hope this helps if you’re looking at Buick used cars like the Allure.
If you’re Canadian and looking to find great savings in Buick used cars please check out YouPaidWhat.ca, they provide Canadians with an alternative option in buying American used cars for sale. With the Canadian dollar being so high, American Buick Rainier used cars are much cheaper than ones sold in Canada.

Porsche 911 used cars that come from the years 2009 to 2011 were an updated version of the G5 997. This latest version of the 911 can boast about a new engine that reduces fuel intake and adds more horsepower to the various 911 models. Porsche used cars like the 911 (in the used car market place) compete against the likes of the Nissan GT-R, Nissan 370Z and the Chevrolet Corvette just to name a few. My research will be on the Porsche 911 as a used vehicle to look at.
I took a look some of the various 2011 Porsche models, but was drawn to the 911 GTS. This particular model is hardcore and sexy at the same time. Inside the vehicle you get lots of gauges, with a large centered tachometer making it easier to use and read. The racing seats are a nicely designed seat that leaves you feeling you just got into a race car. There’s also a button that opens the mechanical flaps in the engine and this makes the exhaust sound louder. Surprisingly the 911 GTS cockpit is spacious and comfortable for a small high performance sports car.
There are several different fuel statistics for the various models the 911 Porsche has to offer. The Carrera 4S has a fuel rating of 11.8-litres, per 100km for city driving and 8-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The GT3, GT2 and the turbo all had a fuel rating of 13.5-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.5-litres, per 100km, for highway driving.
Engine sizes vary for the various models the 911 has to offer. The Targa and Carrera models have 3.6-litre engine that produces 345 horsepower (can come in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive). The Targa S and the Carrera S used a 3.8-litre engine and this produces 385 horsepower. The GT3 has a 3.6-litre engine and this produces 415 horsepower. The GT2 (turbocharged) has a 3.6-litre, 530 horsepower engine.
Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the Porsche 911 as a used vehicle:
1- There are no crash test results for the Porsche 911, that were made from 2009 to 2011.
2- There are no reliability reports from any leading online consumer watch dog.
3- There are various reports in different 911 forums that the new PDK transmission has electrical problems.
4- Maintenance and parts will be expensive if you do decide to buy a used 911.
I hope this helps if you’re thinking of buying Porsche used cars like the 911.
If you’re Canadian and looking to find great savings in Porsche used cars please check out YouPaidWhat.ca they provide Canadians with an alternative option in buying American used cars. With the Canadian dollar being so high, it only makes sense to buy American Porsche 911 used cars for sale.

Back in 2005 The Ford Motor Company decided to go in a different direction with the Ford Taurus, so they decided to replace it and rename it the Ford Five hundred. Ford used cars like the Five Hundred (when launched in 2005) was not as successful as the Taurus was when that was first launched. The reason for such poor sales might be the fact it kept the same basic design as the Taurus and you could only have one option for engine size. Then in 2008 Ford went back to drawing table and renamed the (Five Hundred) the Taurus “nee Five Hundred” and added the Taurus “nee free style”. They also made changes to the design and added a bigger engine to the line up. My research will be on the Ford Five Hundred/Taurus as a used vehicle to look at.
I looked at a few 2005 Ford Five hundred used cars. This four-door sedan came in three different models. The SE, SEL and Limited models have a choice of front- wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The three models use a continuously variable automatic transmission. Traction control and antiskid control come standard in all three models. Some standard equipment that comes with all three models are split folding rear seats and power driver seats. Other options include rear detection and sunroof.
There are several different fuel statistics from 2005 to 2008. The Ford Five Hundred (front- wheel drive) had a fuel rating of 12-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The (all- wheel drive) had a fuel rating of 12.5-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.5-litres, per 100kms, for highway driving. The 2008 Taurus (front- wheel drive) had a fuel rating of 11.7-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 7.2-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The Taurus (all-wheel drive) had a fuel rating of 12.8-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.4-litres, per 100km for highway driving.
Engine sizes vary from 2005 to 2008. In 2005 (when it was launched) the Five Hundred used a V6, 3.0-litre engine and this produced 200 horsepower. In 2008 the Taurus used a V6, 3.5-litre engine and this used a 260 horsepower engine.
Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the Five Hundred/Taurus as a used vehicle:
1- It was given an “average” rating as a used vehicle to own.
2- The Five Hundred is known for its rear brake pads to wear down too quickly.
3- The Taurus/Taurus X received a “good” rating for both frontal (offset) and side impact crash tests done to it.
I hope this helps when looking at Ford used cars like the Five Hundred/Taurus.
If you’re Canadian and looking to find great savings in Ford used cars please check out YouPaidWhat.ca, they provide Canadians with an alternative option in buying American used cars for sale. With the Canadian dollar being so high, American Ford Taurus used cars are much cheaper than ones sold in Canada.

The Nissan Munro was the companies first ever attempt to break into the ever growing popular cross over sport utility market place. Used cars like the Munro from 2003 to 2007 were designed to stand out in a very competitive market space by not only looking great, but by using for the first time a continuously variable transmission. The Nissan Munro competes against the likes of the Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander and the Honda Pilot just to name a few. My research will be on the Nissan Munro as a used vehicle to look at.
I looked at a used 2004 Nissan Munro and came away looking impressed at the four-door cross-over sport utility vehicle. It is offered in two models, the SL and SE model (the SE is the top model). Added to the 2004 SE models was a manual shift mode that lets you set preset gears. All-wheel drive and front- wheel drive are both offered for all models. The Munro is not designed for off road work but does have an AWD 50/50 power spilt for more traction. Some of the safety features that come with the Munro are front side air-bags, head curtain side air-bags and ABS brakes. Antiskid/ traction control is an option for both models. 18-inch wheels are standard for both models. Other options available area a 3rd row, power adjustable pedals, satellite radio, leather upholstery seats, heated front seats and a rear DVD entertainment system.
There were two different fuel statistics for the different transmissions that the Munro has to offer. The all-wheel drive had a fuel rating of 12-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The front wheel-drive has a fuel rating of 11.7-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.6-litres, per 100km, for highway driving.
The Nissan Munro uses a V6, 3.5-litre engine and this produces 245 horsepower, with 246 pounds per feet of torque. This stat is for 2003 to 2007 models.
Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the Nissan Munro as a used vehicle:
1- Fronts seats are known to brake from the mounted frame and may need to be replaced.
2- Many owners complain of noise and rattling coming from the front wheels and suspension.
3- There are problems with the catalytic converters emissions control system wearing down to soon.
4- It was given a four star rating for a frontal crash test done to it, by the National Highway Traffic safety Administration.
I hope this helps if you’re looking at Nissan used cars like the Munro.
If you’re Canadian and looking to find great savings in Nissan used cars please check out YouPaidWhat.ca they provide Canadians with an alternative option in buying American used cars. With the Canadian dollar being so high, it only makes sense to buy an American Nissan Munro used car for sale.

Used cars like the second generation Kia Magentis has enjoyed a lot of praise for primarily being one of the best vehicles (new or used) for its cheap price tag and what you get with that cheap purchase. These second generation models are from the years 2006 to 2010, but the models from 2009 to 2010 seem to get the best reviews for driving experience and interior upgrades. The Kia Magentis competes in the midsize market place with such models like the Chevrolet Malibu, Honda Accord and the Hyundai Sonata just to name a few. My research will be on the Kia Magentis as a used vehicle to look at.
I looked at a 2009 Magentis and came away thinking it looks very much like a Hyundia Sonata. The 2009 Magentis comes in the LX, EX and SX models. This foor door sedan has many safety features that include, curtain side airbags, front side airbags, ABS brakes, traction control and antiskid brakes. Some available features that are options for the EX and SX models are heated seats, sunroof and remote engine start.
There are several different fuel statistics for the various engine sizes the Kia Magentis offers from 2006 to 2010. The four-cylinder (manual) engine has a fuel rating of 9.7-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 6.4-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The four-cylinder (Automatic) engine has a fuel rating of 9.6-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 6.3-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. In 2009 both transmissions had a fuel rating of 9.4-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 6.2-liters, per 100km, for highway driving. The 2009 V6 engine had a fuel rating of 10.5-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 7-litres, per 100km for highway driving.
There are a couple of different engine sizes for the various models the Kia Magentis has to offer. From 2006 to 2008 there were two motors to choose from. The base model had a four-cylinder, 2.4-litre engine which produced 161 horsepower and the top models had a V6, 2.7-litre engine and this produced 185 horsepower. In 2009 the four cylinder engine upgraded to 174 horsepower and the V6 engine upgraded to 194 horsepower.
Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the Kia Magentis as a used vehicle:
1- It was given an above average rating for reliability (as a used vehicle) from a leading online consumer watchdog.
2- There are complaints from owners that the brakes tend to wear down prematurely.
3- It was given a fiver star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for a frontal and side impact crash tests done to it.
I hope this helps if you’re looking at Kia used cars like the Magentis.
If you’re Canadian and looking to find great savings in Kia used cars please check out “youpaidwhat.ca” they provide Canadians with an alternative option in buying American used cars. With the Canadian dollar being so high, it only makes sense to buy American Kia Magentis used cars for sale.

Used cars like the Mitsubishi Endeavor is a mid-size SUV that was brought into the fold back in 2004. It has been said most Canadian’s have heard of the Mitsubishi motor corporation but not of their Endeavor model or some of their other brands as well. Being in a very competitive market space with other vehicles like the Toyota Highlander and the Honda Pilot, it can be hard to get the word out that the Endeavor is actually cheaper than and as durable as those SUV’s are. My research will be on the Mitsubishi Endeavor as a used vehicle to look at.
The 2004 Endeavor is a car-type mid-size SUV that seats five passengers. There are three models to choose from, the LS, XLS and the limit model. All vehicles come in either two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and are not meant for any serious off roading. The two-wheel drive LS model has an option for ABS brakes but the XLS and the Limited model comes standard with it. Traction control is standard in the two-wheel drive XLS and Limited models. Traction control and antiskid systems are an option with all-wheel drive limited models. Front side air-bags are standard with the XLS and Limited models, but are not with the LS model. There is also an option for a rear DVD entertainment system for the XLS and Limited models.
There are a couple of fuel statistics from the years 2004 to 2007 for the Mitsubishi Endeavor. In 2004 the Endeavor had a fuel rating of 13.7-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 9.4-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. In 2007 the Endeavor had a fuel rating of 14-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 10.1-litres, per 100km or highway driving.
There is only one engine that the Mitsubishi Endeavor used from 2004 to 2007. The Endeavor used a V6, 3.8-litre engine that produced 215 horsepower, with 250 pounds per-feet of torque.
Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of the Mitsubishi Endeavor as a used vehicle:
1- It was given a “good rating” as a used vehicle to own, by a leading online consumer watchdog.
2- There are complaints of water leaking into the interior because of a blocked A/C unit that allows water to fill up behind the dash board.
3- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave it a four star rating for a frontal passenger crash test done to it.
I hope this information helps when looking at the Mitsubishi Endeavor as your next used vehicle.
